The Ontarion Power Authority OPA provide a financial example of upfront cost and ROI for a a 3kW solar PV panel system on the roof of a home or commercial property. see attached pdf file.
At GTECH, we promise to optimize your solar panel system so your panels can operate at their maximum capacity. This is achieved via site solar analysis using solar pathfinders. An optimized system will guarantee maximum power output and revenue. As for the initial investment, our supplier prices are very competitive (10-15 % less than the average market rate). We work hard to get you the lowest rates by placing large size orders for multiple projects. We do not add any markup on the supplier's quotes..
By increasing the power output and reducing the initial cost, we are able to beat the ROI provided in the OPA example by a margin of 20%.
GTECH is advocating on behalf o home owners to be allowed to credit their investment in solar energy towards their property taxes. To join us in our advocacy, click here.
Solar Thermal Systems use collectors to capture the sun's rays to heat water stored in a tank in your home. This pre-heated water boosts your existing domestic hot water tank for water used in your kitchen or bathrooms, to heat your swimming pool or heat a radiant floor system. So how does solar energy work?
Solar power is the result of converting the suns rays to energy. Sunlight is gathered in two ways; Photovoltaic (PV) solar panels that convert sunlight to energy or Solar Thermal collectors that use the sun's rays to harness the sun's heat.
Photovoltaic (PV) solar panels capture sunlight and convert the light into direct current (DC) electricity. The DC electricity passes through an inverter creating alternating current (AC) which can be used in your home or business. Learn more about Photovoltaic Solar Systems
The new FIT and microFIT programs apply to Photovoltaic systems which are tied into the power grid. Learn more about FIT, microFIT and Grid-Tied Systems
